Framedrop attends The Podcast Show in London to present how Artificial Intelligence can find the best moments in talking content
Worldwide, the number of podcasts is around 4.1 million (Podcast Index) with more than 464 million listeners (Backlinko), figures that are expected to increase exponentially by 2024. Recognising the importance of this industry, the Portuguese startup Framedrop began its journey in this entertainment universe this year and has been investing heavily in this emerging niche. To this end, on 22 and 23 May it will be at The Podcast Show in London to present its platform - Framedrop.ai - aimed at content creators, video editors and media groups, which promises to revolutionise the way digital creatives work and amplify their content.
At the event, the entire Framedrop team, recognised as one of the most promising startups to watch out for in 2024 by EU Startups, will be at stand J7, where they will demonstrate their product, answer any questions and create networking opportunities through a fun game.
By attending the event, the startup aims to learn more about the industry, its elements and the process of producing podcasts, meet potential partners in this sector and introduce Framedrop to the public.
"We recognise the power and reach that podcasts have gained as an engaging and authentic communication platform. We believe it's crucial to be at the forefront of ever-changing trends and The Podcast Show represents a unique opportunity to connect with our audience and the podcast community in a personal and meaningful way, while expanding our presence and impact in this sector," explains Mário Tarouca, co-founder and COO of Framedrop.
The Podcast Show is an international festival that brings together the global podcasting community from all over the world with the aim of boosting and inspiring all creators, fans, professionals and leaders in the audio sector. This year, there will be more than 450 influential names in the industry, such as Bauer Media, BBC Studios, The Guardian, The Times, iHeart Podcasts, Youtube UK & Ireland, Sony Music Entertainment and Paramount Global, who will take part in more than 130 sessions and panels over the two days.
Framedrop.ai uses AI to generate excerpts of the best video moments and live broadcasts in just a few minutes, based on two vectors: image and audio. From that moment on, simply cut, choose a format (vertical or horizontal), lettering and export or even share directly on social networks. It also allows you to add automatic subtitles - available in 25 languages - and image editors can download the clips to produce and edit a wide variety of content, from short summaries to news pieces with the most iconic or tense moments.
Since its launch in June last year, the tool has processed 3 million minutes, 16,000 videos, 304,000 highlights and has 10,000 users on the platform.
