AudioUK is the industry body representing the UK’s independent audio sector, covering podcasts, radio, and audiobooks. With around 130 member companies spread across the country, AudioUK is dedicated to supporting and growing this rapidly evolving industry.

The organisation actively lobbies the Government on key initiatives to benefit the sector, such as the introduction of a Tax Relief for the audio industry, and securing inclusion in the Creative Industries Council to bolster government support for podcasting and other audio formats. AudioUK also provides valuable industry guidelines on important topics like Sustainability and EDI (Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion).

In addition, AudioUK runs the highly regarded annual Audio Production Awards and the successful Audiotrain skills training programme, both designed to celebrate and develop talent. Members also benefit from a range of services, including Legal & Business Affairs support, HR assistance, and access to training opportunities.

Through these efforts, AudioUK works to ensure the continued success and growth of the independent audio industry.
