Al Riddell is Head of Podcasts, Content and Production, at Global. Previously working across news and podcasts for the BBC World Service and Radio 4, he has been at the forefront of commissioning, developing, executive producing and producing some of the biggest podcasts in narrative, news, factual and entertainment.

At Global, his narrative commissions include Filthy Ritual, Coining It, Explosive Lies and Vine: 6 Seconds That Changed the World. He also created Global Unmissables, Global’s strand dedicated to standout, must-listen narrative podcasts. He is especially drawn to projects with heart, humour and plenty of personality - and where appropriate, a touch of spookiness.
