Chris Baughen is a senior audio executive with over 25 years’ experience across radio, streaming, podcasts and digital media, with a proven track record of delivering award-winning content and driving audience and revenue growth in the UK and internationally.

He began his career in radio, holding roles including Managing Editor of Radio X and Executive Producer of the Capital Breakfast Show, before going on to build and lead podcast and digital audio businesses at scale. He has held senior leadership roles at Wondery, Spotify, Global and Deezer, where he has led content strategy and guided organisations through periods of significant industry and structural change.

Throughout his career, Chris has built a strong and trusted network across the global audio ecosystem, working closely with production companies, creators, platforms, advertisers and technology partners. This breadth of relationships gives him a unique perspective on how the industry operates end-to-end and enables him to bring together stakeholders to unlock new opportunities for growth and collaboration.

He has won multiple industry awards, including British Podcast Awards, Sony Radio Awards and Cannes Lions, and is recognised for his ability to lead organisations through change and growth. As CEO of AudioUK, he is committed to strengthening the sector, championing independent producers and ensuring the UK remains a global leader in audio.
