Writer and creator of Beware Book – a podcast exploring a series of murders which
shocked Glasgow between 1991 and 2005. Taking listeners back to a time when
women involved in prostitution shared warnings about their most dangerous clients
in a tattered journal, known as the Beware Book.
This two-year long investigation – along with co-host Callum McQuade - features
deeply emotive interviews with the victims’ families, many speaking publicly and at
length for the first time. Collette and Callum work to rebuild their trust after being
badly let down by media and police in the past, with several of these cases still
unsolved decades later.
As Clyde 1 News Editor she is an experienced journalist and breakfast newsreader,
working for several outlets before settling at Bauer Media for more than a decade.
Collette also lectures in broadcast journalism and podcasts at Glasgow Caledonian
University.
