Eleanor McDowall is a radio-maker, curator and one of the directors of the independent production company Falling Tree. For thirteen years she was the series producer of Short Cuts, a home for adventurous short documentaries on the radio presented by Josie Long. Her own audio documentary work has won the IDA Documentary Award, the Prix Europa, ARIA awards and the Amnesty Media Award amongst others. In her spare time she runs Radio Atlas - an English language home for subtitled audio from around the world, which turns ten years old this year.
