Elizabeth Day
Elizabeth Day is an award-winning author, broadcaster and host of the chart-topping podcast How To Fail with Elizabeth Day which recently returned for its twentieth series, the first in partnership with Sony Music Entertainment.
Her podcast won the Rising Star Award at the British Podcast Awards and contributed to Elizabeth's Harper's Bazaar Women of the Year Award in 2020. How To Fail has since gone on a sell-out live tour across the country, including dates at The London Palladium, The National Theatre and the Southbank Centre in London, The Lowry in Salford and The Mac in Belfast.
Elizabeth has written two books off the back of the podcast: How To Fail: Everything I’ve Ever Learned From Things Going Wrong, is part-memoir, part-manifesto. It is also a Sunday Times top 5 bestseller. Failosophy: A Handbook For When Things Go Wrong was described by Alain de Botton as ‘beautiful, timely and humane.’
Elizabeth is currently developing her first screenplay - a fictionalised adaptation of How To Fail. Two of her novels have also been optioned for screen. Alongside her writing, Elizabeth is an adept broadcaster. She was one of the two main presenters for the Sky Arts Book Club Live, co-host of BBC Radio 4’s Open Book and has presented shows on Classic FM.
