Head of Pocket Casts , Automattic
I’m currently Head of Pocket Casts at Automattic, where I lead product strategy and manage cross-functional teams across engineering, product, design, and business.

A little bit about Pocket Casts: it is a podcast platform for people who really love podcasts—we call them ‘podcast people.’ We’ve been around since 2011, and today we support over 4.5 million podcasts and more than half a billion episodes.
What really makes us different from other platforms is the level of customization we offer—we let people shape how they like to experience podcasts, which is the main driver for our strong engagement. More than half of our monthly users return daily, and our long-term retention is about twice as high as our peers'.

I’ve been leading the team for about four years, and during that time we’ve grown the user base by around 90% and revenue by about 120%. A major focus has been improving how people discover and engage with podcasts across platforms.

Before Pocket Casts, I led mobile engineering on WordPress at Automattic, so I’ve spent most of my product career at the intersection of content platforms, product, and engineering.

My background is in software engineering, mainly on mobile, and I’ve stayed pretty close to the technical side. More recently I’ve been using AI to contribute technically across the tech stack wherever the team needs support.
