Fran Plowright is an experienced mentoring and talent management consultant working at the intersection of youth culture and the creative industries, with a particular focus on digital storytelling.

She supports both emerging and mid-senior level talent to progress and thrive in the creative and digital sectors, and is passionate about advancing equity within the industry, building confidence among underrepresented talent to take charge of and develop their careers at critical points of entry and progression.

Fran’s work includes designing fit-for-purpose curricula with a focus on authentic storytelling across TV, film, digital content, and podcasting. She also develops and leads mentorship and talent development programmes, facilitates team development sessions, and supports talent resourcing.

Her clients include Sony Music Entertainment - they launched the inaugural Sony Music Podcast Academy in September 2025 - and The Audio Academy for whom she is running their prestigious mentoring programme for the second year in a row.. Fran is also a founding partner of Learning the Ropes, a mentoring programme supporting emerging talent into TV and film, delivered in partnership with Dermot O’Leary’s Tuskar Trust and Fremantle UK.
