Jon Savage is an award-winning innovator, content strategist, and creative leader shaping the future of podcasting, digital
media, and AI-driven monetisation across Africa and global markets.
He is the Founder & CEO of Africa Podcast Network, the continent's largest podcast network, reaching over 40 million
monthly active listeners. Under his leadership, APN has helped define Africa's modern podcasting ecosystem4working with
leading creators and publishers including Vusi Thembekwayo, MacG, Daily Maverick, and Mpoomy Ledwaba4whilst
positioning African voices at the centre of the global creator economy.
Beyond podcasting, Jon is Co-founder of Podium Global, a media-tech group focused on creator monetisation and
infrastructure. Its ventures include AMPD Studios, Africa's largest creator empowerment hub supporting over 15,000 creators,
and Podium, a next-generation platform designed to radically simplify and scale podcast monetisation worldwide.
Jon's career spans creative, technical, and executive leadership. He is a four-time Loerie Award winner, a three-time South
African Music Award recipient, a former DJ on South Africa's largest youth radio station (5FM), a film director, musician, and
CEO of InBroadcasting. His work has been recognised internationally, including at SXSW, for innovation at the intersection of
media, technology, and culture.
