Will Roe

Executive Producer, Investigations , The Times and The Sunday Times
Will is an award-winning producer and journalist with 15 years of experience in audio storytelling. He is currently at The Times and Sunday Times where he specialises in investigative podcast series. Will joined the papers in 2019 to help launch and produce the multi-award winning daily news podcast, The Story.

He was an executive producer on the podcast series Cocaine Inc. that won gold at the 2025 New York Radio Festivals.

In 2023 he made the award-winning show Poison, about a man in Canada selling suicide products which was turned into a two-part TV documentary for the British broadcaster Channel 4.

Will was part of the team at The Times that won gold at the British Podcast Awards in 2021 for their series Who Killed CJ Davis?. The judges said it was a ‘podcast that has changed our perception of the true crime genre.’

His latest show, The Poppy Day Bomb - a series about the IRA's 1987 terror plot at Enniskillen - is shortlisted for this year's Press Awards and the New York Radio Festivals.
 

Will began his broadcasting career at BBC Radio York and has worked at various local and national radio stations in the UK. He mentors postgraduate students at University College London on the Audio Storytelling for Radio and Podcast Masters.
