Ruby first appeared on our screens in 2018 as a contestant on Channel 4’s hugely popular series The Great British Bake Off. Having only been baking for a year before appearing on the show, Ruby made it to the final and took the show by storm with her natural talent for baking and cooking as well as her wit, humour and style. She has since gone on to appear on ITV’s This Morning and is now a regular chef on Channel 4’s hit daytime show Steph’s Packed Lunch. She has written food columns and recipes for GQ online and The Times, whilst also being a regular contributor to the online channel ‘Tastemade’. Her recipe flair and technique pay homage to her Indian roots whilst adding a twist of modern British cuisine. Ruby is passionate about flavours and recipes from her heritage and around the world and loves how something as simple as food can bring cultures and communities together. Alongside her growing broadcasting career, Ruby has amassed a strong social media following and regularly works with high-profile brands, developing bespoke recipes and creating content for them. These include Nespresso, Manchester Utd, Häagen-Dazs and Macallan whiskey to name but a few. She has also appeared at a number of events hosting stages and leading live demos including The Big Feastival, BBC Good Food and Soho House. 2022 is set to be another exciting year of growth for Ruby with the launch of her new company Baked by Rubes, selling vegan cookies, bakeware and more.
