Producing a great podcast can be likened to writing a chart-topping track; designing the next big trend or creating the nation’s favourite dish. It's an all-encompassing process that demands the right ingredients blend to sound compelling; become memorable and is easily shareable. In these 'Making It' sessions, we hear from podcasters on the BBC Sounds Audio Lab accelerator about their creative learnings; pivotal moments and on things they wish they’d known earlier! From the story about a game-changing Black Power leader to exploring what access to nature tells us about the UK’s class system, to hearing the questions colonial artefacts in British museums would ask if they’re given a chance to do so. These are just 3 of 7 innovative and distinctive titles on the slate. This session is hosted by Podcast Producer and Presenter, Leanne Alie who is also the Commissioning Producer for BBC Sounds Audio Lab. BBC Sounds Audio Lab amplifies next generation podcasters and grassroots talent by spotlighting authentic voices; surfacing untold stories and supporting fresh perspectives from under-represented groups across the UK.
