Ayeesha Chowdhury
Ayeesha leads global digital business development partnerships for BBC World Service, overseeing the distribution of its multilingual content and working to enhance the service's reputation, reach and revenue on major global digital platforms like YouTube, Meta, and Microsoft. Ayesha began her career at New Statesman before joining the BBC as a News Trainee Journalist. She went on to become a TV and Radio reporter/presenter, and later, a producer and director of BAFTA and RTS award-winning multi-platform experiences for TV, websites, and mobile apps for the BBC. Ayesha has also served on several boards, including the RTS Judging Panel, Strathclyde University Digital Board, King's Macclesfield School Governor, and the BBC Finance & Operations Committee. She holds a BSc in Physiology and Pharmacology from King's College London and a postgraduate in Journalism.
