Brett Spencer is a Senior Lecturer and Director of the Centre of Podcasting at City St Georges, University of London, and an Executive Editor for BBC Local Radio. He is also a Creative Consultant for Spiritland Productions. He spent three years as Digital Content Director at Bauer Media working across their national and local brands. Prior to this he spent fifteen years at the BBC working for a range of networks including BBC Radio 5 Live, Radio 1, Radio 2, 6 Music and the Asian Network. He was part of the team that launched podcasting at the BBC and won a Sony Gold award for Multiplatform for 5 Lives Wimbledon coverage. Other projects including 6 Music Live, Radio 2 In Concert, Radio 2 Country, Radio 2 Eurovision, Sounds of the 80’s and BBC Asian Network Comedy.
