Hannah Gelbart is an award-winning BBC News presenter, podcast host, and investigative journalist. She is the lead presenter of ‘What in the World’, a daily news podcast and radio show bringing global stories to 16–25-year-olds around the world. Previously, she was the BBC’s Global Disinformation Reporter, uncovering online harms such as exploitation on TikTok livestreams, revenge porn on Telegram, and crypto scams. Since joining the BBC in 2015, Hannah has worked across programmes and platforms designed to make news more accessible for younger audiences, including BBC My World, executively produced by Angelina Jolie, and the BBC’s digital and social news teams. She speaks five languages and uses these skills to connect with reporters and listeners globally.
