Jack Bootle is the Head of Specialist Factual commissioning at the BBC. Joining the BBC in 2018, he has overseen the development and delivery of some of the biggest unscripted titles in British television. Recent projects include natural history landmarks Planet Earth III and Wild Isles, bluechip science series Earth, hit travelogue Wilderness with Simon Reeve, Pompeii: The New Dig (‘TV event of the year’, The Times), the multi-award-winning Inside Our Autistic Minds, the acclaimed The Space Shuttle That Fell To Earth, and Uncanny - a reimagining of the Sounds podcast for BBC Two and iPlayer.
