James Shield is a freelance audio producer and editor in London, specialising in news, current affairs and narrative storytelling. He is currently making a series at Tortoise Media. James was previously deputy executive producer of The Story at The Times and The Sunday Times, head of audio at the RSA, and has recently produced work for BBC Studios, The Telegraph and Persephonica. James’s work has won three golds at the UK Audio Production Awards, two silvers at the ARIAS, and gold at the British Podcast Awards.
