Kavita Puri
Kavita Puri is a multi-award winning journalist and broadcaster. She created, wrote and presented Three Million for BBC Radio 4, which has won prizes including Gold for Best New Podcast at the British Podcast Awards. She devised, wrote and presented Partition Voices for BBC Radio 4 which won the Royal Historical Society’s Best Radio and Podcast Award and overall Public History Prize. It became a critically-acclaimed book Partition Voices: Untold British Stories, and was adapted at the Donmar Warehouse in London. Her long-running BBC Radio 4 series Three Pounds in My Pocket is the first social history of British South Asians. She was the Editor of the foreign documentary programme Our World and spent many years on Newsnight, and is the current Chair of the Women’s Prize for Non-Fiction.
