Kelly Garner
Kelly Garner is the Founder and CEO of Treefort Media, a Los Angeles based independent podcast company specializing in premium fiction and unscripted audio storytelling across genres.
Treefort’s first original series Fatal Voyage: The Mysterious Death of Natalie Wood hit #1 on Apple Podcasts and garnered over 25 million downloads. The company’s creative partners include Audible, Wondery/Amazon Music, Disney Music, Paramount, Universal Music Group, and Village Roadshow Entertainment Group. Branded partners have included LA Times Studios, Focus Features, Coinbase, and Microsoft.
Treefort’s scripted audio drama Moriarty, a twist on the Sherlock Holmes canon, has earned many award nominations – including Best Podcast of the Year – since its debut as an Audible Original in July 2022.
Another Treefort scripted series for Audible, Killing Hollywood: The Cotton Club Murder, won the Webby for Best Scripted Fiction Podcast last year. Treefort/Wondery's popular unscripted weekly series Killer Psyche led to a daily spin-off Killer Psyche Daily, which launched exclusively on Amazon Music in November 2022. Treefort also partnered on the acclaimed investigative series Collapse: Disaster in Surfside, with the Pulitzer Prize winning reporters of the Miami Herald.
Previous to founding Treefort, Garner was an independent TV producer and Vice President of Development & Current with posts at Pilgrim Studios, SYFY, Wilshire Studios / UCP at NBCUniversal.
Garner is a graduate of Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) and is based in Los Angeles, where Treefort is headquartered.
