Nishat Kurwa is svp and executive producer of audio at Vox Media, the leader of modern media, with an unrivaled collection of pioneering brands and passionate voices that inform and entertain millions of people every day. In this role, she oversees programming strategy, new show development, and the Vox Media Studios’ podcast production team. 

Previously, Kurwa led the digital publishing team at American Public Media’s Marketplace. Prior to Marketplace, she spent more than a decade as Senior Producer and News Director at the Peabody Award-winning independent production company, Youth Radio (NPR's Youth Desk), and concurrently as an editor at KCBS Radio in San Francisco. Kurwa was recently named to The Hollywood Reporter’s 2022 and 2023 lists of podcast power players and Crain’s 2022 New York’s Notable Asian Leaders list.
