Pete Wicks

Host, Staying Relevant

TV Personality, radio host, author and influencer Pete Wicks started his career on the BAFTA-award winning reality show ‘The Only Way is Essex’ back in 2015 and quickly became a fan favourite. Pete has continued to appear on our TV screens, with notable appearances in the challenging 2018 series of 'Bear Grylls: The Island’, the 2022 series of 'Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins’, ‘Celebs Go Dating’, ‘Celebrity MasterChef’ and ‘The Celebrity Circle for Stand Up To Cancer’.

2020 created new opportunities for Pete and his friend Sam Thompson after their ‘Reality News’ videos on Instagram were viewed over 5 million times, resulting in the pair securing their own TV show on E4 in 2021. ‘Reality News’ was shortlisted for the Broadcast Digital Awards Best Short-Form format show. Following the success of this show, they then released their No #1 hit comedy podcast Staying Relevant.

Pete has a passion for tattoos and in 2020 he released his original podcast on this subject, ‘Just a little prick’, which invited guests such as Selling Sunset’s Chrishell Stause and musician Tom Grennan to share anecdotes about their tattoos. He now co-hosts ‘The Dating Show’ on Fubar Radio with Cici Coleman, where they chat to famous faces and listeners about the highs and lows of dating.

Pete has worked with brands such as, Oppo, Quorn, Warner Bros and Fudge Hair and was a male Ambassador for global brand Ann Summers Christmas campaign.

Outside of his work, Pete’s main love is his pet French bulldogs and in 2018 he released his first book ‘For the Love of Frenchie’s; The Dog that Changed my Life’. The book is a love story for his dogs which also aims to educate people on how this breed have been mistreated.

Charity work is very close to Pete’s heart, and he supports multiple charities, including Dogs Trust and the Humane Society International. Pete embarked on an eye-opening trip to a meat farm in South Korea with Humane Society International and helped them rescue 170 dogs from the farm. He continues to strongly advocate for animal rights.
