Petra Abbam is Principal Responsible AI Manager at the BBC, where she works to promote and embed the responsible use of AI across the organization. Throughout her career at the BBC, Petra has taken on various roles, including publisher, executive support, project manager, content producer and business manager.

Petra has also gained experience in different industries such as publishing, advertising, finance, medicine and sports. She has worked in software design, project and product management, research, editorial and sales. Her work is guided by the principles of inclusivity, equity and fairness, and she is committed to ensuring these values are upheld in a digital society.

Petra is a 2017/18 Clore Leadership Fellow and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, reflecting her dedication to ethical standards in technology and leadership.
