Rory Connolly has been a driving force behind the evolution of music content for over a decade at the BBC. Originally from Donegal in Ireland, Rory has led the development of award-winning multi-platform content that connects music lovers across the UK and beyond.

He leads the BBC’s world-renowned coverage of Glastonbury Festival, shapes strategy to grow digital audiences across the BBC’s radio networks and oversees a bold and diverse slate of music podcast commissions. Under his leadership, the BBC has launched some of its most successful music podcasts, including Sidetrackedwith Annie Mac and Nick Grimshaw, Make Me A Mixtape with Clara Amfo and Jordan Stephens, Pop Top 10s with Rylan and Scott Mills, The Rise & Fall of Oasis, and The Sleeping Forecast.

Rory continues to redefine how music is experienced in the on-demand era - championing innovation, audience connection, habit forming formats and access across platforms.
