Sue-Lin Wong
Sue-Lin Wong is Asia correspondent at The Economist. She was previously China correspondent, South-East Asia correspondent and the host of two longform narrative podcast series: “The Prince”, about China’s leader Xi Jinping and “Scam Inc”, about the global rise of online scams. Together with her colleagues, she has won Asia’s top journalism prizes including two Society of Publishers in Asia (SOPA) awards, two Human Rights Press Awards and the Asia Society’s Osborn Elliott Prize for Excellence in Journalism on Asia. Sue-Lin has also won a British Foreign Press Association Media Award and was a finalist in America’s National Magazine Awards (ASME). Before joining The Economist, she reported from China for the Financial Times and Reuters. Sue-Lin graduated from the Australian National University.
