She reports live from the frontlines of the world’s most consequential stories including the Israel-Gaza border, Ukraine, Afghanistan, Yemen and Iraq.

An award-winning international correspondent and documentary filmmaker, she has spent two decades reporting from around the globe.

She has interviewed some of the world’s most high-profile leaders including Ukraine's President Zelenskyy, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, former US President Bill Clinton, Canada's PM Justin Trudeau, Bangladesh's PM Sheikh Hasina, Indonesian President Joko Widodo and Afghanistan’s President Ashraf Ghani.

Yalda is also the founder of the Yalda Hakim Foundation, which has established scholarships in the UK and U.S. for young disadvantaged Afghan women to receive an education.

She joined Sky in 2023 and was previously chief presenter of the BBC News Channel.
