Ottolenghi Islington is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, located opposite the Almeida, is a pre-theatre favourite. Reservations are taken for dinner but not during the day – try to make it extra early if you are planning on a weekend brunch!

This is both a deli and restaurant, seating about 50 people. Tables are mostly long and communal but there are a handful of tables for two.

The Vineyard on Upper Street is a vibrant bar and kitchen with one of the best looking gardens in Angel.

Stylishly set into an L-shaped room with a large vault ceiling, the exposed bricks speak of the background of the site but the décor is modern and edgy. Its vibrant atmosphere matches its clientele of locals, groups of friends, birthday parties and even small office groups. Boasting a large covered beer garden and gorgeous comfy vintage seating.

A great location that really shines during the summer, it's ideal for long lazy days whilst with equally being suitable for an intimate date night, The Vineyard is a fine establishment that continues to impress.

Meat Liquor took over an old Citroen garage bang in the middle of Highbury & Islington and Angel Stations. Lots of outdoor dining space in their Jagermeister garden, as well as a mezzanine for private dining.

They are a burgers throw away from the BDC, Arsenal Emirates Stadium and 02 Academy Islington.

The Camden Head

The Camden Head

The Camden Head sits in the heart of Islington, tucked away on Camden Passage. It is a grade II listed building with a circular bar, etched glass windows and original mirrors.

It is the perfect pub for summer or winter with its stunning original wood & interiors and fireplace. It has a warm cosy feel in the winter months, while in the summer the large beer garden gives you a chance to soak up the sun and enjoy a jug of Pimms.

It's one of Londons best and busiest comedy shows throughout the week.

Food service times mid-day to 9pm daily.

The Old Queens Head offers a spectacular setting with its bespoke chandeliers and its 16th Century fireplaces. It is also a live performance venue and plays host to world class bands and DJs.The venue has a Karaoke Room with a dress up box, booze button and the playlist is constantly updated. The kitchen offers a simple and tasty pub menu.

The Pig and Butcher opened its doors in 2012 and has become a bit of an Islington institution. A laid back country style pub with a stunning private dining room and honest cooking that wouldn’t be out of place in the country kitchens of yesteryear.

The Pig and Butcher takes meat from the best farms in the UK and has a butcher on site. As a result, the menu changes daily depending on what they have hanging in the fridge!

In the bar they serve craft beers, wine from family-owned vineyards only, aperitif cocktails and a selection of local hand pulled ales.

Tofu Vegan offers a completely plant-based menu which is suitable for vegetarians and vegans, and will also delight those who usually eat meat. Many of their dishes are made with tofu and mushrooms, or with Asian imitation meats made from bean proteins and other meat-free ingredients. Tofu Vegan's expert team includes chefs from Sichuan, the Cantonese south of China and the northeastern Dongbei region, so the menu features a range of enticing regional flavours.

Their all-day menu features French brasserie classics such as Coq au Riesling, Confit De Canard and Steak Frites et Salade. Sandwiches, salads, Croques, eggs and Tarte Flambées are offered along with a choice of fromage, desserts and glaces to finish.

Islington Metalworks is fully licensed and have three operational bars on the ground floor. The Courtyard houses their famous tube carriage cocktail bar, and there are bars in both the restaurant and club area. These spaces can be used independently or in conjunction with each other to service up to 500 people. A well-equipped kitchen is on site. The Club has a Turbosound Highlite system installed that is suitable for both live acts and DJs.
