What do you do when the industry declares that limited-run, narrative podcasts are ""dead""? Are they? And if they aren't, how do you build a profitable business making narrative shows? How might TV shows like American Crime Story, Fargo or The White Lotus offer a model for lasting success in narrative podcasting?

Just like TV, podcasting can and does have room to contain a huge variety of different formats — chat shows, Q&As, soaps, game shows, competition formats, documentaries, and limited series — but how do we make sure these types of content are given equal opportunity to flourish? We'll also be discussing the challenges of always-on podcasts and contrasting the relative strengths and weaknesses of always-on vs limited-series.

This may be a time of uncertainty for the podcasting industry — but will killing the narrative podcast solve those problems? And if not, how can we think differently to showcase our work?
